Q: Is this housing explosion-proof?
A: The 21000 base housing is mechanically identical to the CA21000. It is rated as a CSA Type 4 Enclosure. However, to meet the full Class I Div 1 Explosion Proof certification listed on page 4, the assembly requires the CA prefix (CA21000). If the application requires strict Div 1/Zone 1 compliance for the enclosure, please verify if the CSA label is required. The internal probe is intrinsically safe when connected to an approved barrier.

Q: Does the 5.2 inch penetration require an internal support?
A: No. Sleeve lengths greater than 12 inches (304 mm) require additional support (Part 37948-01) to avoid resonance. At 5.2 inches, this assembly is well within the unsupported safe operating length.
